A humble appeal on behalf of the Divine Mother
OM Namah Shivaya blessed friends and family of
Meenakshi Ashram,
Since the foundation stones
were laid in a blessing ceremony in 2004 we have been steadily trying to
progress our dream of having a Sri Maha Bhadrakali temple sitting at the heart of our
ashram.
Whilst daily prayer and chanting
continues at the temporary location, anybody who has had the good grace to feel
the Divine mother’s energy here at the ashram will know that she is more than
ready to find a more permanent home! After considerable work to raise the level
of the earth to support the foundation structure we are ready to begin
construction.
Any humanitarian work of this
kind can be continued only with the help of the community. It is at this point that we appeal to you all
for your help and give you the chance to participate in the construction of
this temple and continue to serve humanity, sharing the yogic experiences as
taught by Master Sri
Swami Sivananda and Swami
Vishnudevananda.
We stand for unity in diversity
and strive to transcend the barriers and limitations of everyday life by using
the yogic disciplines. Together, we have
been successful in bringing an ancient science to those seeking the spiritual
path, in an authentic way. With this vision we are hoping to raise funds to
complete the construction to ensure that it stands the test of time. We hope you can help us to help
more people acquire good health and peace of mind through this project, to build a new stone temple with
some simple carvings, and a traditional sloped roof.
The
temple has been designed to utilise the greater energy to its full potential
using Vastu principles, ancient Indian architecture, combining all the five
elements of nature (earth, water, air, fire, and space) to purify the atmosphere, mind, body and spirit. The energy created through the devotional
aspect of yoga will ensure a continued positive energy for the ashram and for
all who come here, helping them on their journey of individual growth
and spiritual development.
Any help, big or small, will go
a long way in bringing this project to completion. We will be most grateful for contributions of
any kind. You may generously offer a
helping hand or construction materials like granite stone, wood, ceiling and
temple materials. Or you may be able to recommend or suggest any
companies or donors whom we may contact for this noble task. We assure you that your donation will be put to the
best use of this divine project.
